KOSHA

KOSHA enables real-time textile traceability through an IoT-based solution leveraging Near-Infrared (NIR) fibre detection technology. Its Circular Intelligence stack combines precision hardware, AI, and traceability; FibreSENSE identifies fibres and blend percentages, while KOSHATrace enables end-to-end tracking through blockchain-backed Digital Product Passports.

  • Textile Waste Management

Key Challenges and Learnings

Pricing and Cost Structure Risk

High hardware costs and an unresolved hardware/subscription pricing mix may limit adoption, particularly in cost-sensitive recycling and reverse logistics segments.

Competitive Positioning Risk

Competitors offer standardised, partnership-led global solutions, while KOSHA’s customizable approach risks added complexity if differentiation is not tightly positioned.

Impact Created

Channelised 12,000 kg of textile waste into traceable recycling streams.

Created 47,543 traceable material records across the textile value chain.

Enabled the abatement of approximately 61,000 kg of carbon emissions.

High-quality textile recycling in India is constrained by poor segregation and limited ability to verify fibre composition at scale. KOSHA addresses this through a modular Circular Intelligence stack that combines precision hardware, AI, and traceability.
